Join us today as we continue our sermon series, “Then Sings My Soul: Reflections on the Psalms” by looking at three different types of psalms.
The words of Psalms can meet us in all seasons. When things are good, there are words of praise. When we feel distant or stuck, there are words of hurt and trust. When we look for a change, there are words of searching and pursuit. We can pray these honest words to God, for he has felt pain, joy, and the full range of human emotion—like us. The Psalms exist in the tension of time and space, past and present and future, and they are words we can use to be honest with our Creator.
