THOUGHT: God is our divine guide.
BIBLE: Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24
TRANSCRIPT: Hey, everybody! Welcome back to the Morning Thrive. We’re talking about God’s plan for your life. And did you know that God wants to lead you into the plan? The thing I love about God is He didn’t just go, “Oh yeah, here’s My plan for you. Good luck trying to figure that out.” No, no! He’s going to actually lead you into that plan. Psalm 139:23-24 makes this really clear. David prays, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” God wants to lead us in the way that He has for us.
I’ll never forget going with a couple, and we were hiking up in Colorado. We’d flown in together and we’d hiked up to this place that I’d never been before. Most of the crew had never been there before. But there was one guide who was with us, and this guide had set a record on Mount McKinley. This guide was a legit mountain climber. He had been in a whiteout on Everest. He had climbed some of the highest peaks in the world. And since he was there, he would lead out, and we’d all kind of march behind him. Repeatedly, he would go to the back and check on everybody, and then he’d be lead out.
He cooked breakfast for us. He did everything; he was amazing! And I never worried because I knew I had a guide who knew what he was doing. Listen, God wants to guide you and lead you in the direction He has for your life, but you have to follow his lead.
