Born in Portsmouth Ohio. Served in the navy in Pearl Harbor during World War II. Worked as a printer at WPAFB in Dayton Ohio. Server as minister for many small churches in Ohio. Started the Medway Baptist Church beginning with home meetings and a tent revival in 1979.

He was the son of Edward Lindsey DORROUGH and Della COLLINS. Bruce died 14 Apr 1991 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, at the age of 66, and was buried 17 Apr 1991 in Medway, Clark, Ohio, Medway Cem.. He married Julia KISH 19 May 1946. She was born 19 Jul 1927 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio.

Obituary:
Bruce L. Dorrough, age 66, of Medway died Sunday afternoon, April 14, 1991 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 14, 1925 at Portsmouth the son of Edward & Della (Collins) Dorrough. He was a Navy veteran of WW II & had worked as a printer retiring from WPAFB.

For the past 30 years he was active in the State Convention of Baptist Churches in Ohio pastoring several misssion churches, helping to start the Medway Baptist Church and was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Fairborn. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Julia; 2 sons & daughters-in-law Daniel & Ruth from New York; David & Jean from Huber Heights; a daugther & son-in-law Rebecca & Michael Clabaugh from North Hampton; 7 grandchildren; a brother George, Fairborn; 3 sisters Marie Modi, Joy Sayger and Thelma Fry all of Dayton; other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church Fairborn with Rev. Don McMurray officiating. Burial in Medway Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 P.M. Tuesday in the Trostel, Chapman & Christmas Funeral Home New Carlisle and one hour prior to service in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
